Part name: Co-moulding
Description:
Co-moulding process of metal parts is used to produce components made up of one or more metal sheets, bushes, threaded elements, etc. (for istance winded coils); these parts are co-moulded through injection molding. Each moulded part is connected to the related counterparty in order to carry out different actions (electrical connection, mechanical fastening, generating an electromagnetic field, etc.). Usual materials used are PA66, PA6 or PBT with glass fiber added.
General characteristics:
  • PA66, PA6 and PBT polymers with glass fiber added
  • High structural stiffness
  • Extremely small dimensional tolerances
