Part name: Bobbins
Description:
Bobbin is the support on which the metal wire of an electromagnetic coil is winded. It is made up of a cylindrical part -often characterized by orthocyclic shape- and two flanges placed at the ends. Terminals (fast-on) are placed on one flange and represent the electric interface between winding and external device. Terminals can be overmoulded or driven after moulding phase. Usual materials used are PA66, PPS and PBT with glass fiber added.
General characteristics:
  • PA66, PPS, PBT (or others) polymers with glass fiber added
  • High structural stiffness
  • Extremely small dimensional tolerances
